In life you have many goals. There are a lot of steps to try and achieve most goals. Goals are finishing points of something you are doing or trying to improve. Since young, many people have known what career path they would like to follow. Some knew they wanted to be a lawyer, a firefighter, a doctor and began their journey towards making their career dream true by taking the necessary courses, passing their examinations, and did what was required to enter the field of their choosing. Some are unsure of the career path they would like to follow and opinions of others on what they should do can lead to a road of uncertainty and confusion.
An important personal goal to have for my junior year is to have good grades in all my classes. To tackle this goal, great study skills need to be set into place. If this is your first year of practicing study habits, the internet will be your best resource. There are thousands of articles, online guides and videos to watch about different studying methods. Of course, the flash card method and reviewing your notes are helpful, but it is important to create a unique and fun studying routine! Create a game, set rewards for yourself, etc. Find a method or two that works with you and roll with it.
I have many academic goals for this school year. I’m going to try to pass all my classes with A’s and B’s. I want to bring my GPA up from last year. I want to try to get a twenty on my act test. Those are my academic goals for this year.
I need to keep my grades up so I could get into a good college and get a good job. If I get my grades up that will get my GPA up. I went to get my GPA up to a 3.5 so I can be on the honor roll. If I get it up I could earn some scholarships for college. If I could get scholarships I would not have to pay that much for college. To get into some colleges you have to have a high GPA like that I know I can reach this goal if I put my mind to it. If I study hard enough to get that GPA it will help me with the act test. I want to try and get a twenty on my act because that is about the average score on them. I think I’m smart enough to reach that score. I know I can achieve this goal if I really try and reach it. To get into any college you have to have a pretty good score on the test and I might help me get some scholarships. I have many academic goals for this year, my main one to get these year. I feel like I can achieve all those goals.
My biggest career goal that I want to accomplish is to establish a non-profit organization where I can create internships for medical school students around the U.S., and allow them to travel to isolated communities around the world to provide free medical services. I also want to provide nutrition education to support these marginalized communities, especially indigenous groups from Latin American countries. This will help contribute to the physical development of kids and offer a solution to malnutrition.
I know that all of my goals will remain dreams if I do not complete my medical degree. Therefore, I am committed to working hard in school and looking for opportunities that could help me make my goals a reality.
