While watching this video you see that during the war these hardened soldiers who were set on winning a battle and then winning a war started to come down with these diseases that nobody had a cure for. With this war going on when these diseases came there was no cure so it was hard for their fellow soldiers to help keep them alive with old remedies or the medicines they had. These soldiers were tough but not tough enough to beat these diseases while in battle.
During this time and trying to protect their home-front and with traveling as a unit these soldiers cane down with these diseases because of uncleanliness and hazardous environments they were in. Death was on the horizon they just didn’t know it yet because they were so set on winning a battle they long awaited. These soldiers kept on trotting though, despite losing some because of illness they continued their mission and continue to trek across the world and continued to fight and claim lands. While fighting these soldiers in the Great War were wining battles they weren’t supposed to win and lost some because they were losing fellow soldiers before the battle and the war happened because they took a hit they weren’t ready for but they pressed on.
For some they were stuck in towns where they had to shut everything down and stay indoors because of this epidemic that was moving around. It was hard on people and their families because they couldn’t do much without the fear in their mind of if we do this we could die, if we breathe in this air we could die or if we walk outside and try to do any work we could die from any wound or something dirty. Something this scary hurt so many people and the effects were so dramatic for them because it cut deep for the families and children in the society that had to survive this hardship and try their best to come out on top. Having soldiers and citizens die due to this really turned things upside down and put people into a crazy situation that took their lives to early or took away family members to early.
Even in this time people wore masks because they were afraid to breathe on others because they didn’t want to be responsible for killing someone else. These citizens were so afraid of this they thought of everything to keep people alive and they felt this was their best bet. While doing this word kicked wind and then other towns started using the same method so that nobody would die and they could make it through the storm and survive this horror story that was going on during this time. While doing this they found ways to communicate and still get jobs done that need to be finished because they wanted to be thorough during this process and make sure everything was right.
As time went on though, towns started to quarantine their citizens so that people who were ill were away from the healthy ones. The quarantine was a great idea cause they soon noticed it reduced the people that got sick and started to die. Then once this was the move for one town and other towns, more people started to even make medicines and cures for this disease to keep the citizens alive and it started to work. Once this action was taken and they noticed the medicines were taking affect and helping they kept making them in order to save so many people and stop them from dying.
