    Drug addiction has become an extremely urgent problem in modern life that covers all spheres of human’s activity. The list of academic researches made in English countries and all over the world states the same persuasive thesis statement: drug addiction is a disease and should not be left without attention. In other words, the question that earlier did not seem like a harmful one has already grown into a huge complicated problem. It may sound strange for those who are free from any obsession and difficult to understand how short habits turn into long-term addiction. The worst thing in this situation is that an addicted person could control his willing anymore.

    Drug addiction, as well as an alcohol one, considerably influences the behavior of the individual. It often leads a person to the criminal, caused by drug abuse. The drug abuse is an uncontrolled overdose using of the drugs that usually leads to different kinds of crime fulfilled by the drug victims. Very often an individual is not able to control his reaction on the world and surrounding people and even does not understand the real deepness of the committed crime. Such behavior is commonly presented on the working places when employers have problems with their staff that includes drug addicted workers.

    Causes of drug abuse

    You can hardly find a person who obtained the problem of drug addiction suddenly and without any reason for it. This problem begins with little steps but can easily grow into a huge complication without a proper solution. The main generalized reason for individuals to become involved in drug addiction is to kill the pain they experienced. If to define concrete reasons they can be as following:

    1. Stress

    One of the simplest and at the same time broadly spread reason that makes the person take alcohol and tranquilizers in order to remain the calmness.

    1. Problems in relationship

    Individuals who have problems in the families or with their employers try to find a way to distract from their pain. Drugs allow them to enter another world painless and without any trouble.

    1. Low self-satisfaction

    This problem is extremely common among college students who are not able to find themselves in sports or any other kind of activity but struggle to prove their importance to the world. Young people are struggling to raise their value by any method, and the use of drugs sounds like a great opportunity for them.

    1. Mental disease

    People who are mentally ill need a regular consumption of barbiturates that eventually leads to addiction.

    1. Financial problems

    Living in modern life without financial stability is a challenging task and individuals become extremely nervous if they lose the ability to pay for their living. They take barbiturates to forget about their problems.

    1. Strong pain

    Those who suffer from chronic illnesses are forced to take the drugs as a part of their treatment. After a long term of consumption, they could not live without drugs anymore.

    1. Trauma

    There are lots of examples of people who undergo significant trauma in their lives and are forced to take anti-anxiety tranquilizers to come back to the usual life. The constant use of such substances causes drug abuse.

    Effects of drug abuse

    The drug use has only temporally positive impact and then leads to the negative effects on human’s life. These harmful effects can be subdivided into defined results.

    • Destroyed immune system

    A continuing drug addiction eventually ends with the damaged health condition of the individual and the list of disorders in the immune system. This affects the inability of the person to stand against the illnesses even if it is the simple sickness. It is also extremely dangerous for the health to take the drugs during pregnancy.

    • Brain damage

    Drugs influence the functioning of the central nervous system and cause many brain disorders. People more frequently lose their memory and the ability to percept the reality in an adequate way. They are hard to be controlled, and their nervous system is shaken.

    • Crimes

    One of the most dangerous results of the drug abuse is its impact of the individual’s behavior. In the struggle to find a new dose by any means, a person comes to criminal commitments. Lots of crimes are committed by people who simply lose control over their behavior because of the addiction.

    • Complicated diseases

    The ruin of the immune system is followed by a list of complicated and even chronic illnesses. The system is suffering from various disorders, and it is impossible for such people to be completely healthy. There are even examples of people falling into the coma after overdosing and end up with a death.

    • Relationship loss

    It is not a secret that the drug abuse influences victim’s behavior and prevents him/her from controlling it. This is the reason for stops in the relationship when the family members do not want to suffer from the harmful impact on their life.

    Drug addiction is a serious problem of real life and has spread in all parts of the world. Argumentative investigations state that short obsession quickly turns into a complicated disease which is hard to be properly treated. This addiction is followed by various other problems that damage the life of the individual. Those who are obsessed with drugs and take them regularly destroy the central nervous system functioning, and this leads to the list of problems without a proper solution. An individual suffers from lots of illnesses, and there are many examples of falling into the condition of coma because of overdose.

    But the worse effect of drug addiction refers to drug abuse. Individuals that become drug victims very frequently become crime victims. The list of crimes includes various commitments and is spread on different spheres of human life. It ruins the relationship among staff on the working places, destroys the family tights, and completely damages individual’s life. The problem is extremely urgent and really needs considerable actions to be solved.
