Martin Luther King, Jr. was born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Alberta Williams King and Martin Luther King. Martin Luther King Jr. was a very astonishing man.
He did a lot to change the way America was in his time. He first became involved in civil rights movement when Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white person. This was only the beginning of his hard work to put an end to it all. It was then the United States Supreme Court made the decision that Alabama law was illegal to segregate the whites from the blacks. It was Martins first victory and set to bettering the country. He inspired people of all different colors, races, and ethnicity to join in his peaceful quest to protest against segregation.
Martin contributed to America his knowledge and dream of a brighter, kinder future. He believed that one-day America can leave with its entire people and not be judged on the color of their skin, but instead as the people they are. Martin Luther King Jr. traveled hundreds of miles and gave hundreds of speeches about his dream of equality and freedom for all, especially African-Americans. Many universities, churches, etc, awarded him with medals, honorary degrees, and the youngest person at age thirty-five to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Martin Luther King Jr.
made a huge difference in America and till this day we honor him and his dreams that came true on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
