How to Fight in Hockey SuccessfullySometimes hockey players lose their cool on the ice and get into a fightwith an opponent.

The fights look spontaneous and unplanned, but there are manytechniques and tricks that will help a player to be a better fighter. When a fight begins, the first thing to do is to drop your stick andgloves onto the ice. It is always better to punch with your bare fists so ithurts the opponent more. Also, it is easier to grab with your bare hands. Next, you must rip off the opponents helmet by grabbing the back of the helmet andpulling it toward yourself.

Once you have the helmet off, the real rumblebegins. From this point on in the scuffle, there are a few very successfultechniques used by the best of the pros to win the fight. One very good way to win is to, first, punch the opponent in the stomachso he bends over toward you. Next, grab the bottom of the back side of hisjersey and forcefully pull it over his head.

By pulling the jersey over theopposition’s head, you make it so he can’t see or move his arms very well. Withthe jersey over his head, you can finish the fight by throwing the punches thatyou throw the hardest to your opponent’s face and stomach. Another good technique is to grab the opponent’s collar of his jerseyright below his chin with one hand and pull him foreword quickly. While youslam him forward, use your other hand to punch him in the face. This techniquehurts the opponent the most because his momentum moving toward you makes theblow twice as hard as an ordinary punch. Continue to use this technique overand over until the fight is done.

The opponent usually will not know where heis, so it will be a fairly easy fight. Along with the previous techniques, there are also a few tips that willhelp you out. First of all, avoid throwing your opponent on to the ice. Whenyou do this, the referees can easily break up the brawl. Also, always keep yourhands up to be able to block blows to the face and head area.

Lastly, try notto pull the opponent’s hair. This is considered to be very cheap in a hockeyfight. On a final note, by following all these tips and techniques, you will bea good fighter in hockey. When you do get into a fight, use these techniquesalong with your own style.

It will be very pleasing to you and spectators ifyou have your own signature fighting style. Although these tips and tricksmentioned will help you to fight well, they do not always assure a painlessvictory. An opponent will sometimes sneak in a few lucky punches. Try to avoidgetting hit in tender areas such as the nose and eyes by moving your head asidewhen an incoming fist comes.

In closing, fight smart, and you will fightsuccessfully.Miscellaneous
