Currently, I am carrying out my internship in one of the travelling agencies in Los Angles; I have been in the organization for the past two weeks. The traveling agency is located in Korea town. Though it is a small upcoming travelling company. Its sole purpose is to provide services to its customers who may choose to use it while travelling. The organization has different categories of employees who help in steering the administrative functions for its success. There is one president and eight employees, among them being five employees who work in the office, the remaining three are tour guides and drivers. I am one of the five employees who work in the office.
The organization has very comfortable travelling facilities with recent models of vehicle. Our vehicles are well-vanished, maintained, and so attractive that you would admire to use them. Besides, we have a well-trained team of tour guides and experienced drivers who are ready to value our customer’s desires and needs while on the trip. So far, the company has made a tremendous progress in the provision of services. It is growing fast with the significantly increasing number of customers using the services compared to the previous years.
The organization is basically concerned with appropriate interlinks with other business opportunities in different parts of the world. Our target market is any potential entrepreneurs who wish to explore business opportunity anywhere and wish to use our cars to make trips to those areas either individually or as a group. We also provide services for tourists who would like to hire our vehicles for the main purpose of touring different places. Similarly, we offer services for people who make up for a holiday providing them with tour guides and drivers for the period they require. They should make appropriate lease agreement which properly signed and binding to the terms and conditions of our organization.
Roles to Play during the Internship
Speaking about my internship in the organization, I have different duties in the office where I am positioned. These roles will be acting at.Aa capacity of a supervisor through checking and controlling the quality of files. That are meant for the clients, making promotions of new and existing tours to the satisfaction of both the company and customers. I will also ensure the day-to-day administrative functions and the operation of the office.
Make possible banking if need arises, prepare and keep filing system of the organization in a logical manner, provide any required assistance in management of all partner and supplier contracts for the company. It is also my task to carry out research among the residents of the local area to ensure a business basis on the clients and gain them out of the local competition from other competitors. This will be to my ability to meet the expectations of the target market through identification of any available opportunities to improve sales revenues throughout my internship period.
Consequently, I will make developments and establish links with the local businesses in the region in order to secure more opportunities for the organization, enable customers receive a leading industry customer services throughout their visits and subsequent emails and phone calls. Finally, I will be responsible of dealing with customers’ complaints ensuring a reliable good relationship and making brochure racking policy reflection of the local market depending on the season’s priorities among others.
During the period of the internship, my objectives will be to uphold the company’s values through enhancing a better working relationship with other employees. It will contribute to the success of the organization working towards the realization of its set goals and objectives in order to become a more recognizable tour and travelling company in the whole world.
