The Holocaust in literally brought to life. Thisliterary work truly shows how Anne Frank was a martyr ofracism and an insightful chronicler of her time period andplace. The work also shows the typical adolescence of AnneFrank and her constant arguments with her mother inparticular. It also deals with the day to day hiding sheand her family went through. The only problem with the bookis that the fact that Anne Frank rewrote her diary about twomonths before she was captured because she wanted herjournal to be published after the war and she wanted toperuse a career in journalism. Therefore it is hard to tellwhat existed in her original copy and how much did she addafterwards.
This tells us that we will never know how muchknowledge Anne Frank possessed. It is not the informationthat should be questioned, but the chronology. She meant to say that the Diaryof Anne Frank was a good way to experience the Holocaust butat the same time there is a lot of missing information. Sheis trying to say that there must be critical facts that arenot shown in the book due to that fact that it was rewrittenshortly before her death and the fact that it was translatedinto different languages. She reviews it as a great sourceof actually living the Holocaust through the eyes of AnneFrank but also to be in tuned that perhaps a lot ofinformation is simply just not there.
