To begin with, some say you have to be strong as Superman, some say you have to have be powerful like Iron Man, and some people say you have to be smart as Wonder Woman. That is very much true but those are fictional heroes, but Sacagawea was a real life hero and she has every right to be called one. Sacagawea was a woman is known for her help with the Lewis and Clark expedition. She was a hero in many ways people don’t know to begin, with she was brave. Not only that, she she put others before herself and finally, she had determination to continue the expedition this is what makes her a hero.
The first reason, Sacagawea was a hero was because she was brave just at 12 she was kidnapped and at 13 she was married to her to another tribe. She became pregnant and was approached by Lewis and Clark to help with the expedition through the Louisiana Purchase. While on the expedition she collected food for everyone, birthed a baby, and raised the baby. Once while traveling the boat was hit she did everything to make sure her duties so everyone was able to stay alive. Having a baby on the expedition made it harder to help with her duties, she had a lot of obstacles on the expedition but she continued to help in any when she can.
The second reason, Sacagawea was a hero because put herself before others when she did not have to. When Sacagawea was 15 years and six months pregnant she still helped a lot. Sacagawea spoke in different languages which made it easier for Lewis and Clark to get around. She collected food and cooked and even when she got sick she make sure everyone was in the best condition does that they could be in. With she did it showed that she care for others more than she did herself.
The finally reason, Sacagawea what’s a hero was because she had determination, she, Luis, and Clark travelled thousands of miles just to get to their destination. Sacagawea believed that one day got there she would be able to see her people. At many times she could have decided to give up everything but she knew she would see her people again, and she knew she would be known as a hero in their eyes. When she came back to her family and friends she would have felt that she has accomplished everything in her life.
In the final analysis, we know that heroes can be in real life just like they are in comic books, TV shows, and movies. Sacagawea what’s one of those heroes because she was brave enough, she put others before herself even when she needed help the most, and she had to determination that the expedition would be successful. “A hero is a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.” Sacagawea had all of these traits this it’s what made her a hero today for many.
