Piracy can be defined as any theft or other violent action, without authorization by public authority, committed on the seas or in the air outside the normal jurisdiction of any state, for private benefits. But in this research we are talking specifically about software piracy which became a global phenomenon nowadays.

Piracy is known as any theft or any other type of violence, prohibited by public authority, committed on the high seas, for personal benefits. But in this research we are discussing software piracy in particular, which became a worldwide phenomenon nowadays. Software piracy means copying software and using it without paying for the person or company that made it, it includes heavy counterfeit manufacturing and sales for profit or lead to a joint benefit of cost-saving work, like peer-to-peer downloads or small illegal efforts related to individual employment.

Software piracy is worse than piracy in its other fields because software products have a higher possibility of copying with the click of a button. Therefore, software piracy has been a significant problem for politicians, corporations and customers all over the world because of doubts including cross-border disputes, business losses, etc.

    Social Acceptance Of Software Piracy

There is a clear difference in many branches of life between what people perceive as mistake and socially accepted behavior. One of these branches is software piracy as described in the 2011 Global Piracy Study published by the Business Software Association (BSA) (2012) which explore that 79% of software users all over the world agree that software does not belong to the community as a whole and should seek Innovators push their programs to their efforts, while 57% of users have admitted that they have already participated in some form of software piracy.

It is clear that there is general acceptance that program piracy contains a serious mistake, but there seems to be a degree of contradiction about how significant this violator is on the humanitarian agenda.

A study by Logsdon, Thompson, and Reid (1994) discover a direct link between the individual’s layers of moral judgment and the likelihood of consent or participation in software piracy. The seekers concluded that the most logical explanation for the high layers of software piracy is that piracy is a matter of low moral density.

They suggested that the software industry should lower its concentration on institutional compliance and concentration more on seeking to raise the perceived moral density of piracy. (Siponen, Vance, and Willison 2012) discover that the desire to engage in software piracy can be layout by what is called ‘harassment’, a form of rationalization where people persuade themselves that they are not doing anything really serious; or that it is unlikely to arrest them; or even if they are arrested, they will not suffer any major punishment.

These factors may be part of the dissect for the increased size of software piracy in developing countries where rationalization includes ready-made excuses such as limited availability of legal software, excessive software price compared to domestic income, or the feeling that people in such countries deserve something.

Nowadays we use internet and software in our business that’s useful to growth our business with less cost but with big dangers!!

The concept of e-commerce: Is selling and conducting business transactions, providing services and managing all matters related to trade or business through internet. I think the concept of e-commerce nowadays become more popular. The most dangerous in e-commerce is ‘piracy so it must protect them by computer-security systems known as firewalls.

Ways to capture information related to e-commerce:

    • Capture the information between the computer and the terminal: This method is implemented by connecting the transmission lines or by satellit.
    • Using unrecognized advertising windows in the website of e-coomerce .

Examples of some e-commerce which have been piracy: T-Mobile’s customer data was hacked after an e-mail attack on an Exprian credit department used to handle subscriber data in October 2015.

In June 2015, the US Department of State’s Personal Management Office reported that hackers had managed to steal data from nearly four million federal employees.

To try to product e-commerce from piracy we can follow this steps:

    • Update the password and privet information permanently.
    • Use keywords.

Avoid to use very important across the site and replaced by a schedule for actual meeting each week for example When we hear the word piracy, we can imagine the practice of attacking and robbing ships at sea, which is exactly what the pirates of the electronic systems do, but with new means and without endangering themselves.

Electronic hacking is a process of computer hacking that takes place over the Internet often because most computers in the world are connected via this network or even through internal networks connected to more than one computer. This process is carried out by one or several people who are proficient in computer programs and ways of managing them; That is, they are high-level programmers who can, by means of software, help penetrate a computer and identify its contents, through which the other connected devices at the same network are hacked.

Software piracy is an illegal process that include copying, publishing, or use of software. Recently, It is more popular for ‘business’, some statistics shows that the stolen software in current use is about 36%. Software piracy leads for most publishers a significant lost this show an increase of the prices for the consumer. These days piracy has become in the biggest source of danger.
