A couple of other leaders of romanticism are Walter Scott and Robert Burns. They’ve been big attributes in the romantic era for many reasons.
Williams Wordsworth was born on April 7, 1770 in Cockermouth, Cumbria, England. He wrote over 30 poems including My Heart Leaps Up, We Are Seven, The Tables Turned, etc.” Unfortunately his mother passed when he was only eight years old and his brother died in a drowning in 1805.. However, these traumatic experience shapes much of his later work. He was often known as a nature writer for being aware of his surroundings such as geography. However, it is very contradicting given that he was also very self away of himself and the men’s mind. He was named as the most important English Romantic poet by many scholars. In college he had left the girl he loved behind. He had later found out she died at a young age. He wrote several poems about this girl and used the name Lucy but that was not her actual name.
Sir Walter Scott, 1st Baronet also known as Walter Scott was born on August 15,1771 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He died on September 21, 1832. He had 9 other siblings who all had claimed to have good health and untamable spirits. As well as Walter being a leader of romanticism he was also a novelist, historian and biographer. Many of his writings are romances, his love for places around him made it easy for him to be able to romanticize the places he lived and traveled. He was often known to look at even the bad things as a positive and turn it into something passionate. He had written around 10 romantic poems and high include The Lady of The Lake, Marmion, The Bridal of Triermain, etc. He was married to Charlotte Charpentier in 1797 after discovering his first love, Williamina Belshches had gotten married to a banker. Soon after this is what lead to his starting attempts at poetry. Which eventually resulted in him writing famous romantic poems as well as novels.
Robert Burns also known as Rabbie Burns and various other names. He was known as the national poet of Scotland. He was best known for the poems he had written is Scottish but he also wrote in standard English. Known as a pioneer of the romantic movement and a pre romantic for his sensitivity and high feeling and emotion. The reason he was linked to romanticism was being able to relate to the poor background given his humble agricultural background. He had also written about how unequal the world was to better the world of equality. He had written many romantic poems and songs such as A Red, Red Rose, Comin Thro the Rye, To a Louse, etc.
