For Obamacare or against it? Ever since the Obama care act has been in place it has been a controversy on whether it is beneficial to Americans or harmful. Some people say that it’s an invasion of our rights because we are forced to pay for health insurance premiums, on the other hand, some say that the benefits of it like no one with previous health issues can be denied insurance, and free preventative health care are a great options that were not offered before. The advertisement I chose was a girl and a guy standing together and the girl is holding a pack of birth control pills and the text to the side says “Got Insurance? OMG he’s hot I hope he’s as easy to get as this birth control my health insurance covers the pill which means all I have to worry about is getting him between the covers. I got insurance now you can too. Thanks Obamacare” I chose this advertisement because the message being sent to the audience was Obamacare’s credibility and the free benefits it has to offer.
I think that this message had an unselfish motive because they are passing on knowledge that could be beneficial to every person who either has or needs health insurance. The author also was obviously pro Obama health care because he or she made the ad based on one of insurance benefits offering free preventative care including the birth control the girl is carrying. Before this coverage was added through the Obamacare act insurance premiums had co-pay for both the preventative visits and contraceptive prescriptions, now both are fully covered in hopes to lower health costs by making prevention to health issues or unwanted conception easier to avoid. They are portraying just how easy of a choice it is by showing the pill is free in this scenario. S. .
ur future but medical care and insurance cost is always a economical issue and if we can start to get control on these issues people will carry coverage and become less likely to acquire health issues because of free preventative care. The advertisement is asking the audience do you have insurance, and making it known to viewers to stop and think about the benefits of having it. In conclusion the advertisement brings up a simple resolution to preventative aspect of health care offered by Obamacare and tries to reach its viewers by gaining credibility so that they will choose to carry insurance. They use a simple dialogue on the ad and a picture which says a thousand words in such a simple message. I think that the author not only gets viewers interest in the free perks of health insurance but they can lead them to research other issues they may have with the Act.
