Hey everyone, I'm absolutely DROWNING in my intro chem class right now. I'm an English lit major who took chem to fulfill a science requirement, and we just started organic compounds. I need serious chemistry homework help because I have no idea what I'm doing with these molecular structures and reaction mechanisms. Any resources, tutoring suggestions, or general advice would be massively appreciated! Due date is next Friday and I'm panicking 😫

As someone who struggled with organic chemistry help last semester, I feel your pain! Check out "The Organic Chemistry Tutor" on YouTube - despite the basic name, his explanations are amazing and saved my grade. He breaks down concepts way better than my professor did.

@JakeTThompson When I needed help with chemistry homework, I found that drawing out the structures repeatedly helped a ton. Get some molecular model kits if you can - actually building the compounds makes the 3D structure way easier to understand than just looking at 2D drawings.

For organic chemistry help, I'd highly recommend checking if your university has a chemistry tutoring center. Most science departments offer free peer tutoring. I was completely lost in orgo until I started going twice a week. Made a huge difference!

The thing that helped me most with chemistry homework help was understanding the patterns rather than memorizing everything. Organic chem actually has logical rules for how compounds behave. Once you get those basic principles, it starts making much more sense.

I was in the same boat when I took chemistry as a psychology major. For help with chemistry homework, I used EduBirdie a couple times when I was really stuck. They have tutors who specialize in different science subjects and can walk you through the problems step by step.

@JakeTThompson for organic chemistry help try to focus on understanding functional groups first! once u recognize the common patterns, it gets easier. i used the app "chemist - virtual chem lab" to practice reactions without wasting real chemicals lol

when i needed chemistry homework help online i found masterorganicchemistry.com super helpful. they explain things in plain english instead of assuming you already know everything. way better for beginners than those resources aimed at pre-med students

Have you tried office hours? When I was struggling with help with chemistry homework, I found that most chem professors are actually willing to help if you show up and ask specific questions. Bring your attempted work to show you're putting in effort.

As a fellow humanities person who survived chem, my advice for chemistry homework help is to use a combination of resources. No single YouTube channel or website explained everything in a way that clicked for me. I had to piece together understanding from multiple sources.

I found www.PapersOwl.com really helpful when I needed organic chemistry help with specific problems. Their tutors explained the mechanisms step by step and gave me practice problems similar to my homework. Helped me understand the patterns rather than just memorizing.

For visual learners who need chemistry homework help online, check out Crash Course Chemistry on YouTube. They have great visualizations that make abstract concepts more concrete. Also, the Clutch Prep website has topic-specific videos that are more focused than full lectures.

As someone who tutors other students in chemistry, my biggest advice for those seeking help with chemistry homework is to focus on understanding rather than memorizing. If you can understand WHY a reaction happens a certain way, you'll be able to predict similar reactions.

I used a combination of YouTube and papersowl for organic chemistry help when I was struggling. The key was finding someone who could explain concepts in non-technical language first, then gradually introducing the chemistry terminology once I understood the basic idea.
