She is very much interested in reading books and while reading about the dances in India she came to know about the Maharanis. One day my grandmother narrated the story on Maharanis which found fascinating and interesting. Am sharing this story with you all 50 that we can appreciate our ancient traditions.

Performed for: Q)rd Jonathan In ancient times, there are women especially to serve the Lord Jonathan in the ample in Purr district of Odious and they are known as Maharanis- These women are advises who are chosen for the save of the Lord Jonathan and they are attached to the deity after a ceremony where a piece of cloth from the idol is tied around their head by the temple priest thus symbolizing their marriage to the deity.
They serve the deity by performing dance in the temple and never performed outside temple precinct, There are two clans of Maharanis- 1. Baiter Gaunt Maharanis- They was allowed to enter into the sanctum sanctum of the temple, 2. Bargaining Maharanis- They was allowed to enter the temple but not the sanctum San Themes for performance Initially, the maharanis performed mainly Unruly (pure dance) and Mahayana based on mantras and koalas, but later dance sequences were performed based on the lyrics of the Get Giovanni of Jadedly_ Dress The maharanis wore a colorful Odious silk sari that is draped around the body and tied to the waist.
Make up The face is decorated with the sacred talk mark on the forehead and delicate patterns Of White dots around the brows and on cheeks-the eyes are lined With dark Kohl. Finger tips, palms and feet are tinted red with LATA. Hairstyle The hair is parted and knotted in a bun, wreathed with flowers and adorned with OSHA Paula or decorative pin for the bun. Rasher in her holidays went to her grandparents home who are living in a village and visited a temple in the evening there she saw performance on Gang Guyana. After coming back from the village she met her friend Seta and asked her, if she has ever heard of Gang Guyana? DO you know she is referring to What? Quick Facts 1 -Type: Folk Narrative 2. Gang Guyana is an oral folk narrative of the wedding of Shiva and Parity in verse form. It defines the cultural and social identity of the Gang community. The narrative is performed by the wandering mendicants to Gang community who earn their livelihood by performing songs in Shiva temples either voluntarily or on invitation. The performance starts with the birth of Parity and her growing p as an extremely beautiful and accomplished girl who dreamt of marrying Shiva and she managed to reach Shiva’s abode with the help of the Brahmins.
The poem revolves around the gradual transformation of Shiva from a tribal to a family man who loves his wife and never wants to displease her.
