To Our CCCA Friends,CCCA Fundraising 2011

It has been a month since Columbia County Council on the Arts celebrated its 20th Anniversary and completed another successful ArtsWalk, an event that year after year brings hundreds of visitors to our community. There was artwork by CCCA member artists displayed in Windows on Warren Street in Hudson, Small Gems and Columbia County in All Seasons Show, Olana Plein Air Event “Landscapes Within the Landscape”, ArtsWalk Kids, The Artist Marketplace at the Seventh Street Park and the Members Show at the Pocketbook Factory Museum Room. The historic Hudson Opera House hosted the ArtsWalk Literary and Performance Arts Festivals.

We continue to struggle with the lack of funding from the NYSCA (New York State Council on the Arts), our largest financial supporter in the form of an annual grant, as we do not receive that extraordinarily important funding as we had in the past. In spite of this, we must still keep the arts alive and growing for our artists and our community as we have for the 49 years that we have been in Columbia County. We are dependent on membership dollars and generous contributions from individuals to keep our doors open so we can continue to serve the county.

Many of you are already members. We hope that those of you who are not members will become members, and those of you who are members will make a generous donation. To become a member and/or make a donation on our CCCA website simply click on JOIN to become a member or DONATE to make your donation, or mail a check made payable to CCCA to 209 Warren Street, Hudson, New York 12534.

The CCCA Board of Directors, member artists, and Executive Director appreciate your support. We want to continue to work with all the creative, visual, literary and performing artists in our county and also continue to help students pursue their “artistic” dreams. Please help us help others.

We wish you a healthy and happy holiday season,

Cynthia Mulvaney
CCCA Executive Director
