My paintings are highly tactile multi media abstractions motivated by my love of nature, the beauty of the Berkshires and the Southwest. I use a game of hide-and-seek as a metaphor for the search and discovery process I enjoy while creating my work and allowing it to evolve. I start with water color and inks, then layers of textures, adding acrylics and other textured mediums as the paint dries. I never know what’s going to happen when I start a painting and that’s the best.
