MARIA KOLODZIEJ-ZINCIO
The desire to be an artist started early in my life. A creative energy that I
nurtured to this day. My art, whether a photo, painting or a sketch allows me to
capture a moment, a feeling that uses every life force within me. My senses,
feelings, touch and my spirituality. I find peace within me when I engage in this
process. The joy manifests as I create a work of art that pleases me and I find
excitement and tribulation in its form.
I work with a variety of mediums. From a camera, paint brush, encaustic to a pencil. There is
no one tool that can be used as each tool has its own magic.
My artwork reflects a spectrum of work that is still in its evolving form. An eclectic
approach that reflects my passion for art and beauty. Am I still searching for the
one style? Like the ocean with its many currents, storms and ripples eventually
flowing and finding its way to a quiet river. My art too, with its currents and storms
and ripples find its way within my heart and bring peace to me.
I am a long time resident of Columbia County and have come back to my art after
thirty years in the business world. My background in art, psychology and education gives me a rich diversity in human emotion and life forces.
